Sweet and sour turkey saucy balls

Messy = good.  These turkey balls are irresistibly good according to my equation.  They're drenched in a sticky sweet and sour sauce that cannot be denied.  This is a lighter version of the popular beef sweet and sour meatball, so you can enjoy a few more than you normally would!

Quick list of ingredients:

Meatballs:

1 lb ground turkey (dark or light or a blend)
1/4 cup very finely minced onion
1 egg
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste

Blend these ingredients together, and form walnut-sized balls.  This recipe should make about 20 balls.

Sauce:

8oz can tomato sauce + can of water
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp finely chopped green pepper
2 dashes soy sauce
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt

Blend these ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.

While the sauce is bubbling, brown the turkey balls in a large pan.  Brown them on both sides, and transfer them to the sauce where they will finish cooking.  Allow the meatballs to cook for about 15-20 minutes in the sauce stirring occasionally.  Serve and enjoy, I certainly did...
